Voting under By-election at Chitwan Constituency 2, Bara Constituency 2 and Tanahun Constituency 1 begins

April 23, Kathmandu: Voting is being held under the by-election for House of Representatives member sta Chitwan Constituency 2, Bara Constituency 2 and Tanahun Constituency 1.

The Election Commission said the voting began at 7 am on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has urged all the voters to participate in the voting without any fear and exercise their franchise right.

The Election Commission informed that it had adopted special measures to hold the election in a free and fair manner.

Election Commission’s assistant spokesperson Guru Prasad Wagle said the employees and security personnel deputed in the polling centers are minutely monitoring the violation of election code of conduct.

9 candidates are vying for the post of House of Representatives(HoR) Member at Tanahun Constituency 1, and there are 1 hundred 23 thousand 3 hundred and 5 voters.

22 candidates are vying for HoR member at Chitawan 2 and there are 1 hundred 24 thousand 6 hundred and 95 voters.

34 candidates are vying for HoR member at Bara Constituency 2. There are 1 hundred 5 thousand 2 hundred and 58 voters in this Constituency.
