She mentioned that Nepal received 21.6 million US dollars from the Loss and Damage Fund, and permission has been granted to put forward three projects of around 45 million US dollars from the Adaptation Fund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minister Chaudhary argued that adequate climate finance should be provided on time in the form of grants, not loans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nepal, in collaboration with Bhutan, proposed the inclusion of the issue of &#8216;1.5 degree Celsius warming in mountain region in the COP-31 agenda, she underlined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Minister stressed that developed countries should fulfil commitments related to climate finance, increase adaptation support threefold and raise the problems of mountain communities in the world climate discussion as a priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minister Chaudhary expressed commitment to ensure participation of women, indigenous nationalities, Dalits, and youth in taking climate finance to local levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Gita Chaudhary, has shared that Nepal would strongly raise the issues of climate justice, adequate financial support and mountain conservation in the upcoming COP-31.
