{"id":437259,"date":"2026-10-04T21:08:24","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T15:23:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=437259"},"modified":"2026-10-04T21:08:25","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T15:23:25","slug":"8th-saat-news-and-drawing-competition-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/10\/04\/437259.html","title":{"rendered":"8th SAAT News and Drawing Competition held"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu<\/strong>: The 8th SAAT News and Drawing Competition has been held with the participation of students from 14 schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by Swarnim Batika School in Sukedhara, Kathmandu, on Saturday, the interschool competition aimed to help students develop their speaking,&nbsp; communication, and creative skills alongside their academic studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>School founder Pradip Bhattarai said, \u201cIt is an immense honour for Swarnim Batika School to have successfully built a platform where students can learn real-life skills, contribute to society, and understand it better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the journey to the eighth edition of the competition had been inspirational for both the students and the organising team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Principal Nilammani Bhattarai said the school has been organising such competitions every year in collaboration with SAAT (School Alliance for Academic Transformation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Nepali news reading category, Kalpana Sapkota of Peak Point Academy secured first place, Supriya Gurung of Universal School came second, Seseni Izal of Peak Point Public School came third, while Anushka Khanal of NOBS School, Chabahil, received the consolation prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, in the English news reading category, Sahara Shrestha of Binayak English School secured first place, Sujata Tamang of Universal English School came second, and Angel Rai of Semten Memorial School came third.
