{"id":437213,"date":"2026-10-04T14:23:31","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T08:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=437213"},"modified":"2026-10-04T14:23:51","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T08:38:51","slug":"foreign-affairs-minister-khanal-leaves-for-fiji-to-attend-climate-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/10\/04\/437213.html","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal leaves for Fiji to attend climate event"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu: <\/strong>Foreign Affairs Minister Shishir Khanal has left for Fiji to attend the Pre-COPE Leaders\u2019 Event on climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A four-member Nepali delegation led by Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal will participate in the event being held on October 5 to 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foreign Ministry said Minister Khanal will address the Leaders\u2019 Plenary on October 6. He will also join a media question-and-answer session with the President of Palau and the Prime Ministers of Australia and Fiji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal is expected to raise issues of climate change impacts, climate justice and the concerns of Himalayan countries at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Fiji and Tuvalu, Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal will travel to Australia, where he is scheduled to meet Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on October 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are expected to discuss Nepal-Australia relations, bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal will also interact with the Nepali community in Canberra and Sydney.
