Kathmandu, Sept. 29: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, today paid separate farewell calls on President Ramchandra Paudel and Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav as he completed his tenure in Nepal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his meeting with President Paudel at the President\u2019s Office-Shital Niwas- various aspects of Nepal-India bilateral relations were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matters of mutual interest and concern were also discussed during the meeting, according to a statement issued by President\u2019s Office Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Shahi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion, President Paudel congratulated Ambassador Srivastava on successfully completing his tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, during his farewell meeting with Vice-President Yadav at the Vice-President\u2019s Office in Lainchaur, the Vice-President appreciated Srivastava\u2019s contribution to further strengthening the historic, cultural and friendly ties between Nepal and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vice-President Yadav also thanked the Government of India for the humanitarian and disaster relief assistance provided to Nepal during the recent devastating floods, according to the Vice-President\u2019s Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Ambassador Srivastava said he made every possible effort during his tenure to further deepen Nepal-India relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Srivastava also added that he would always cherish his memories of Nepal and the Nepali people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ambassador Srivastava, who assumed office in June 2022, is returning to India upon completion of his tenure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
