Presenting the proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Badi said that the bill aimed at ensuring necessary legal consistency, as the responsibility for social security had been added along with change of the ministry&#8217;s name. Earlier, taking part in the deliberations in regard with the proposal, lawmaker Afsana Banu from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) expressed her full support for the Bill, citing that national prosperity is explicitly not possible without the respect and empowerment of women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another RSP lawmaker Yagyamani Neupane, said the Bill is capable of making the citizens feel the presence of the State in their daily lives. Nepali Communist Party&#8217;s Parshuram Tamang was of the opinion that relevancy and need of the Bill should be clearly established before it is introduced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tukabhadra Hamal of CPN (UML) stressed the need to retain provisions for social security allowances for helpless citizens, persons with disabilities and single women.
