Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal today visited the Nepali Consulate General in New York, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Khanal, who is currently in New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, visited the Nepali Consulate General in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Minister Khanal’s Secretariat, he was briefed on the consulate\u2019s activities, services and matters concerning the Nepali community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At a briefing hosted by Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari, Minister Khanal was apprised of the role of Nepali missions abroad in protecting national interests, providing consular services to Nepali citizens and strengthening Nepal\u2019s economic, social and cultural ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consulate officials also briefed the Minister on its ongoing activities, future plans and efforts to enhance service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion, Minister Khanal called for continued coordination and cooperation among the relevant agencies to ensure prompt and effective services to Nepali citizens and to further advance Nepal\u2019s interests abroad.
