He demanded the government take diplomatic initiatives to ease trade with China following the disruption of Rasuwagadhi point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suppliers have incurred huge losses after the Bhotekoshi floods hit the business to a significant level. Market prices have risen, and a shortage of cooking gas has affected consumers; the burden of high prices is taking its toll on kitchens,&#8221; he said, advising the government to take the necessary diplomatic initiatives to open the Tatopani border point and ease the supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aaren Rai said a delay in rescue operations caused a rise in human casualties from the recent Bhotekoshi-Trishuli floods. He argued that the rescue for around 300 reportedly missing in a tunnel in Hankubesi area could not take place on time, ending in a significant loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He went on to say that many lives were lost because those stranded at various hydropower projects including Chilime could not be rescued on time.&nbsp; Rai advised the government to accord high priority to the safety of security personnel and other human resources deployed for rescue operations in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Khusbu Oli echoed the need for making efforts from the government and relevant sectors to promote religious and social tolerance and harmony in the Tarai-Madhesh region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghazala Shamim Mikrani stressed the need to exert pressure on developed countries to reduce carbon missions, stating that the establishment of Climate Damage and Loss Fund is not sufficient to address the climate adversities.&nbsp; Nepal should strongly raise its voice at an international forum to increase investment in renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prakash Singh Karki urged the government to focus on building disaster-resilient infrastructure, recognizing the private sector as a backbone of economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashuda Kumari Baral drew the government&#8217;s attention to the urgent need to implement road reform and safety measures, ensure that electrification is safe, and expand reliable electricity services throughout the Karnali Province.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, Sept 15: The government has been advised to strengthen national unity and undertake necessary diplomatic initiatives so as to make relief and rebuilding efforts in the floods-affected areas.
