{"id":435744,"date":"2026-09-10T08:51:30","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T03:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=435744"},"modified":"2026-09-10T08:51:31","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T03:06:31","slug":"upper-myagdi-1-hydropower-project-achieves-tunnel-breakthrough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/09\/10\/435744.html","title":{"rendered":"Upper Myagdi-1 hydropower project achieves tunnel breakthrough"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Myagdi: The Upper Myagdi-1 Hydropower Project with a capacity of 35.5 MW has achieved a tunnel &#8216;breakthrough&#8217; (excavated) from the audit towards the dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, promoted by Myagdi Hydropower Limited, has connected the tunnel from the audit site in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, Chhahari, to the under-construction powerhouse in Malika Rural Municipality-7, Bharwang, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project Chief Jyoti Kumar KC informed that a 2506.39-meter tunnel connecting the audit site to the dam has been broken through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Out of the total 3,283.32 meters of the tunnel from the audit in Chhahari to the dam in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, 1,973 meters have been completed so far,&#8221; he shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KC further said, &#8220;Work is underway with the goal of completing the remaining tunnel within a few months.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief KC mentioned that overall progress has reached 56 percent and the project is expected to be completed within the next year. <strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Myagdi: The Upper Myagdi-1 Hydropower Project with a capacity of 35.5 MW has achieved a tunnel &#8216;breakthrough&#8217; (excavated) from the audit towards the dam.
