Discuss flood response and US support for Nepal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathmandu:<\/strong> Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to RSP spokesperson Jagadish Kharel, US Secretary Rubio expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the devastating Bhotekoshi floods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also expressed solidarity with Nepal and the Nepali people during this difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the conversation, RSP President Lamichhane said the Government of Nepal had mobilised all available resources for search, rescue and relief operations in the flood-affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the government was equally committed to ensuring the safety and security of foreign nationals in Nepal, alongside Nepali citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leader Lamichhane thanked the US Government for its support and assistance during the disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, Secretary Rubio pledged to provide additional assistance to the Government of Nepal, if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
