{"id":435430,"date":"2026-09-04T21:44:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T15:59:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=435430"},"modified":"2026-09-04T21:44:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T15:59:21","slug":"bhotekoshi-flood-search-and-rescue-continuous-in-trishuli-3-a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/09\/04\/435430.html","title":{"rendered":"Bhotekoshi flood: Search and rescue continuous in Trishuli-3 &#8216;A&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu: <\/strong>Search and rescue operations have continued in the Trishuli-3 &#8216;A&#8217; Hydropower Project following the August 26 floods disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/Tunnel.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-435431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/Tunnel.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/Tunnel-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A joint squad, comprising 75 members from the Nepali Army, 18 from the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Police successfully rescued two persons alive from the hydropower tunnel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are now receiving treatment at Birendra Military Hospital, Kathmandu. Even a dead body was recovered during the search efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rescuers are trying to locate other persons trapped, according to the Nepali Army. A separate rescue team, including 89 soldiers and three civilians, has been working in the Trishuli-3 &#8216;B&#8217; area. The team has made significant progress with the excavation of 426 metres into the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Langtang Hydropower site, a team of 25 army persons and two civilians has entered the tunnel and recovered two bodies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rescue operations are ongoing in the Chilime Hydropower Project, utilizing generators and pumps to scour sludge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seventeen soldiers and project representatives are conducting a search in the Haku tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-1. Even rafts and boats are used to navigate the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The water is being pumped out of the tunnel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>They are now receiving treatment at Birendra Military Hospital, Kathmandu.
