The flood which lasted for around three hours swept away the bridge at around 11:30 am, said a local Binod Naharki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the flood washing away the infrastructure of public transportation, residents of Gandaki Rural Municipality 7 and 8 have lost their easy access to the Prithvi Highway. The bridge served as a major accessible route for around 400 households of Ghyalchowk to transport their dairy products and vegetables to the agricultural cooperative in Charaundi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, farmers in the area will be unable to supply their produce to Charaudi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, the devastating flood on August 26 had swept away a bridge at Dhawadighat, some distance downstream from here. Locals had been also using the Ghyalchowk-Charaudi Bridge as an alternative to the Dhwadighat Bridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 130-metre Ghyalchowk-Charaudi bridge was constructed just six years ago, locals said.
