KATHMANDU, Aug 29:<\/strong> The first shipment of emergency humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates has arrived in Kathmandu to support search, rescue, and relief operations following deadly floods and landslides in Rasuwa and neighboring districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relief package was dispatched following directives from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the arrival of the consignment, UAE Ambassador to Nepal Abdulla Al Shamsi extended deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Nepal, reaffirming the Gulf nation\u2019s solidarity during the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This assistance reflects the deep bonds of friendship and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Nepal, and the UAE’s commitment to standing by the friendly people of Nepal in times of crisis and natural disasters,” Ambassador Al Shamsi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ambassador clarified that the initial shipment marks the first phase of the UAE’s humanitarian response, with additional consignments of relief supplies scheduled to arrive in the coming days to meet ongoing needs on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UAE Embassy acknowledged the swift coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), airport authorities, and the newly established UAE Aid Agency led by Chairman Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Amiri in facilitating the urgent delivery of supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
