{"id":434997,"date":"2026-08-29T20:20:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T14:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=434997"},"modified":"2026-08-29T20:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T14:35:08","slug":"675-people-confirmed-dead-so-far-in-bhotekoshi-flood-2426-people-remain-unknown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/08\/29\/434997.html","title":{"rendered":"675 People Confirmed Dead So Far in Bhotekoshi Flood, 2426 People Remain Unknown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/3c2416ea-98ee-4641-a636-eb05a3922b2c-1000x500-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-434998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/3c2416ea-98ee-4641-a636-eb05a3922b2c-1000x500-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/3c2416ea-98ee-4641-a636-eb05a3922b2c-1000x500-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/3c2416ea-98ee-4641-a636-eb05a3922b2c-1000x500-1-768x384.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kathmandu: The death toll from the flood that flowed into the Trishuli River through the Bhotekoshi River has reached 675, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total, 13 bodies have been recovered in Rasuwa, 45 in Dhading, 51 in Nuwakot, 57 in Gorkha, 35 in Tanahun, 246 in Chitwan, 165 in Nawalparasi East and 63 in Nawalparasi West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 2,426 people remain unaccounted for following the Rasuwa flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among them are 44 personnel of the Nepali Army, 27 of the Nepal Police and 13 personnel of the Armed Police Force, Nepal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal Police spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abinarayan Kafle said 2,301 people have so far been rescued from the flood-affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of those rescued, 676 are from Rasuwa, 1,622 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seriously injured people rescued from various locations have been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment. Following treatment, 140 people have been discharged from hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security personnel and rescue teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal and other concerned agencies continue search and rescue operations in potentially high-risk areas of the flood-affected region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police said priority has been given to searching for missing people and carrying out rescue operations, alongside collecting details of the human and physical losses caused by the floods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu: The death toll from the flood that flowed into the Trishuli River through the Bhotekoshi River has reached 675, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).
