equipment by helicopter to Badimalika in Bajura to expand communication services in the remote tourist and religious destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work was initiated following the instruction of Minister for Information and Communication Dr. Bikram Timilsina, who directed Nepal Telecom to expedite the expansion of communication services in Badimalika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The equipment was flown to the area on Tuesday in a Nepali Army helicopter, as the difficult terrain and lack of road access made ground transportation impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 4000 kilograms of equipment now needs to be carried by workers from the landing site to the installation area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/Nepali-army-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-433940\" service could come into operation within about five days once all the equipment reaches the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Badimalika, located at around 4200 metres above sea level, has been gaining popularity as a religious and tourist destination among both domestic and foreign visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"641\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/nepali-army-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-433941\" lacked reliable telephone and internet services, causing difficulties for local residents, pilgrims and tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal Telecom plans to expand 4G services in other high-altitude areas
