{"id":433845,"date":"2026-08-09T22:30:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T16:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=433845"},"modified":"2026-08-09T22:30:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T16:45:11","slug":"govt-cannot-repeatedly-extend-deadline-for-delayed-projects-minister-lamsal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/08\/09\/433845.html","title":{"rendered":"Govt. cannot repeatedly extend deadline for delayed projects: Minister Lamsal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Gulmi: <\/strong>Minister for Infrastructure Development, Sunil Lamsal, has directed the authorities concerned to advance the construction works of the Gulmi Hospital even by terminating the contract for the failure of the contractor to complete the project as per the agreement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Lamsal said so on Sunday while inspecting the under-construction building of the Gulmi Hospital in Tamghas, while expressing serious concerns over the delay in the construction works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Lamsal viewed that the government cannot give additional time to the contractors if they failed to complete the tasks on time and added that fresh process should be initiated considering the status of the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, Minister Lamsal took stock of the physical progress, quality control and the progress made so far on overall construction works of the hospital building. Likewise, Minister Lamsal directed the officials and contractors to ensure quality works as per the contract agreement made on building construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The physical progress of the hospital&#8217;s building construction is believed to be 92 percent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was initiated in 2021 with the agreement to complete in two years but the deadline was extended repeatedly for delayed in project completion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swachchhanda-Baniya JV Hetauda was awarded the project at the cost of Rs 259.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gulmi: Minister for Infrastructure Development, Sunil Lamsal, has directed the authorities concerned to advance the construction works of the Gulmi Hospital even by terminating the contract for the failure of the contractor to complete the project as per the agreement.
