{"id":433588,"date":"2026-08-05T06:52:32","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=433588"},"modified":"2026-08-05T06:52:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:07:34","slug":"nationwide-cloudy-skies-heavy-rain-likely-in-several-provinces-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/08\/05\/433588.html","title":{"rendered":"Nationwide Cloudy Skies, Heavy Rain Likely in Several Provinces Today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kathmandu, Aug. 5:<\/strong> The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast generally cloudy weather across Nepal today as monsoon winds continue to influence the country&#8217;s weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned slightly north of its usual location, close to the Tarai belt, increasing the likelihood of widespread rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The department said light to moderate rain is expected at some places in the Himalayan region, while many areas of the hilly region and a few places in the Tarai are likely to witness moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavy rainfall is also forecast at one or two locations in Koshi and Bagmati provinces, particularly in the Himalayan and hilly areas.
