Authorities say financial crimes such as cheque bounce and online fraud are becoming increasingly challenging to control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the major crackdowns during the review period came in Asar, when police arrested six people\u2014one Nepali and five Indian nationals\u2014for allegedly printing counterfeit Nepali currency. Officers seized a printing machine and fake Rs 1,000 notes worth Rs 592,000 during the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Domestic violence also remained a serious concern. Police recorded 93 complaints in Jeth, with the number rising to 99 in Asar. Complaints involving women, senior citizens and neighbourhood disputes also featured prominently, with 72 neighbour-related disputes reported in Jeth and 63 in Asar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, 182 criminal incidents were registered in Jeth, compared to 176 cases in Asar. Social offence cases declined from 52 to 21 over the two-month period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, murder-related complaints increased significantly, rising from 23 cases in Jeth to 35 in Asar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police arrested 243 individuals in Jeth and 161 in Asar in connection with various criminal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer Krishna Kumar Chand said the growing number of economic crimes, particularly online fraud and cheque bounce cases, has become a major challenge for law enforcement.
