Chitwan: Land ownership certificates were distributed to 34 households of Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-7, Bhaluwang (Sundarbasti Sangamtole) on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chairperson of the Land Problem Resolution Committee, Balabhadra Bastola, handed over the land ownership certificates to the squatters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion, he said all landless squatters will obtain land certificates within 500 days during his tenure given cooperation from all sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It requires support and cooperation from local government, district-based land problem resolution committee, and applicants to get it materialised, he emphasised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the programme, Land Problem Resolution Committee Chitwan chairperson and Chief District Officer, Ganesh Aryal, said land ownership certificates would be distributed to those completing the designated process in coordination with respective local government, while action would also be devised to bring in those not completing the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further shared that progress is on regarding land measurement and mapping, registration, and certification in all local governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As many as 42,000 landless squatters have reportedly registered applications for land ownership certificates in the district.
