According to the Nepal Police&#8217;s Central Police Newsroom, he was arrested by US law enforcement agencies in September 2025 after returning upon completion of his sentence in Nepal. Coombs has been in custody since then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US court is announcing the sentence on him on October 28, according to the US Department of Justice&#8217;s Office of Public Affairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central Bureau of Investigation had arrested Kenneth Joseph Coombs and 21-year-old Buddha Putawar or Lucche of Swayambhu, Kathmandu, who was assisting him in the child sexual abuse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kathmandu District Court sentenced Coombs to nine years in prison and Lucche to four years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A notice from the US Department of Justice&#8217;s Office of Public Affairs states that Coombs sexually abused eight children at a hotel while he was in Nepal in 2016 and that Coombs used methods such as coercion, drugging them and luring the children with money to commit these sexual acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu: Kenneth Joseph Coombs, 58, who returned to the US after serving a nine-year prison sentence for child sexual abuse in Nepal, has been found guilty by a US federal court for the crime he committed in Nepal.
