Kathmandu, July 15:<\/strong> The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has taken serious note of an incident involving the physical abuse of a student by a teacher at Khawaling School in Boudha, Kathmandu, after a video of the assault circulated widely on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Education Minister Raghuji Panta held separate meetings on Tuesday with the Grade 4 student, the school principal, and members of the school’s administration to discuss the incident. The minister also met privately with the student to understand the case firsthand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the meeting, Minister Panta assured that the ministry would facilitate legal action if required and stressed that corporal punishment in schools is unacceptable.
