{"id":432476,"date":"2026-07-12T16:37:51","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T10:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=432476"},"modified":"2026-07-12T16:37:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T10:52:52","slug":"govt-at-work-for-response-campaign-against-monsoon-related-diseases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/07\/12\/432476.html","title":{"rendered":"Govt at work for \u2018response campaign\u2019 against monsoon-related diseases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu:<\/strong> The government has launched a preparation as part of the \u2018response campaign\u2019 to prevent and control monsoon-related diseases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"539\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Health-Ministry-1-1024x539.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-431054\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Health-Ministry-1-1024x539.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Health-Ministry-1-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Health-Ministry-1-768x404.jpg 768w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Health-Ministry-1.jpg 1440w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Health and Food Safety prepared a \u2018Response Campaign\u2019, considering the possible outbreak of diseases that people are highly likely to suffer from during the monsoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acting director general at the Department of Health Services, Dr Anuj Bhattachan, said a \u2018response campaign\u2019 was advanced to control diseases such as dengue, malaria, cholera, dysentery, Japanese encephalitis, scrub typhus and influenza which could spread in the monsoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> A system is in place to assess the risk and respond to the diseases by establishing collaboration with three tiers of government. &#8220;We&#8217;ve made significant progress in disease control compared to the past.
