And farmers have not faced a shortage of chemical fertilisers like in previous years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/rice-planting-festival-nepal-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-382214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/rice-planting-festival-nepal-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/rice-planting-festival-nepal-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/rice-planting-festival-nepal-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/rice-planting-festival-nepal.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">File Photo <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 40,500 metric tons of chemical fertilisers have been sold and distributed in the first 19 days of the month of Asar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to government data, a total of 40,569.25 metric tons of chemical fertilizers have reached farmers&#8217; fields through Agricultural Inputs Company Limited and Salt Trading Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the past years, farmers were forced to suffer due to a lack of chemical fertilisers during the main paddy transplanting season,\u201d says Deepa Dahal, press and research expert to the Prime Minister, \u201cBut this time, the government has made the supply management, storage and distribution scientific and efficient, so farmers are easily getting fertilisers at the time of demand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the total distribution, the Agricultural Inputs Company Limited has handled a large share of the distribution by supplying 26,994.65 metric tons of fertilizer while the Salt Trading Corporation has addressed the market demand by supplying 13,574.6 metric tons of fertiliser to the consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fertilisers made available include urea, DAP and potash. Press and research expert Dahal says, \u201cThe fact that nearly five thousand metric tons of fertiliser reached the hands of farmers without any obstacles on Asar 15 is in itself a strong proof of the effectiveness of the government mechanism and its accountability towards farmers.
