{"id":431867,"date":"2026-06-29T07:35:01","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T01:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=431867"},"modified":"2026-06-29T07:35:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T01:50:03","slug":"wild-elephants-damage-six-houses-in-udayapur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/06\/29\/431867.html","title":{"rendered":"Wild Elephants Damage Six Houses in Udayapur"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Udayapur, June 29:<\/strong> A herd of wild elephants entered Kumang Lamachaur in Chaudandigadhi Municipality-7 of Udayapur on Saturday night, damaging six houses and forcing residents to flee to safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the District Police Office, the elephants destroyed several wooden houses with thatched roofs belonging to residents, including Buddhhiman Rai, Radha BK, Roshan BK, Bam Bahadur BK, Bir Bahadur Magar and Dil Bahadur Magar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police Information Officer Ganesh Bam said no human casualties were reported, but the incident caused panic among villagers. Resident Pushpa Rai said people were compelled to leave their homes after the elephants entered the settlement during the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chaudandigadhi Municipality has arranged temporary shelter for families whose houses were damaged.
