{"id":431228,"date":"2026-06-13T17:43:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T11:58:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=431228"},"modified":"2026-06-13T17:43:32","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T11:58:32","slug":"committee-formed-to-investigate-fatal-road-accident-in-kavre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/06\/13\/431228.html","title":{"rendered":"Committee formed to investigate fatal road accident in Kavre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu:<\/strong> Nepal Police has formed an investigation committee to find out the real cause of the road accident that occurred in Buchchakot, Namobuddha Municipality-2, Kavrepalanchok district on Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Kavre-Accident.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-431229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Kavre-Accident.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Kavre-Accident-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/06\/Kavre-Accident-768x384.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Police Headquarters today formed a six-member investigation committee under the coordination of Senior Superintendent of Police Kamal Thapa of the Province Office, Kavre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the accident, a passenger bus (Ba. 3 Kha. 8398) heading from Banepa to Kharpachok in Roshi lost control and fell about 300 meters off the road, killing eight passengers on board. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another 16 passengers were injured in the accident. The committee has been asked to investigate and submit a report within seven days, the Police Headquarters has stated. Meanwhile, all eight people who died in the road accident have been identified. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased are Megh Bahadur Tamang, 73, Raju Tamang, 55, and Indra Bahadur Tamang, 75, of Roshi Rural Municipality-6; Phulmaya Tamang, 34, and Maya Tamang, 60, of Roshi-7; Pyarimaya Tamang, 60, of Roshi-8; Bam Bahadur Bhandari, 30, of the Nepal Army, serving in the Trinetra Battalion Bhakundebeshi; and Sumi Tamang, 22, of Ghyanglek Rural Municipality-4, Sindhuli. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They died on the spot, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, 16 people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
