Chitwan: The construction of four new bridges along the Mugling-Malekhu road section was almost completed, by planning to bring the bridges into operation for traffic by the end of this fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Information Officer of Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project (West Section Office) Sachendra Mishra said that the bridges over Khaharekhola, Chiraudikhola, Gomatikhola and Hugdikhola would be open to traffic by the second week of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, road access to bridges, plaster works, traffic safety and some other jobs are left to complete, adding that the entire other works were over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“More than 90 per cent of the jobs are over. We are preparing to operate the bridges by mid-July,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Likewise, he mentioned that blacktop-related works for the road and bridges along the road section were slightly affected due to a lack of bitumen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the construction company has promised to expedite the construction works, including the road blacktop, as the supply of the bitumen is ensured within one or two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, construction of the drains, railing and others, except the blacktop, remained uninterrupted. So far, 43 per cent of the road project has progressed, Adhikari said.
