The House had unanimously approved the proposal seeking permission to present the bill put forward by the Finance Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presenting the bill, Finance Minister Wagle argued that the bill was introduced to realise legal reforms to maintain price and balance of payment (BoP) stability and strengthen the overall financial sector, aiming at leveraging sustainable development of Nepal&#8217;s economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cConsidering changes in national and international financial landscapes, the expansion of the financial system, the use of digital systems, and the developments in the role of the central bank, it is necessary to clarify and update some provisions of the existing Act,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the HoR has sent the &#8216;Film Bill, 2082&#8217; that originated in the National Assembly for clause-wise discussion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill presented by Minister for Information and Communications Dr Bikram Timilsina in today&#8217;s HoR meeting, seeking to send it to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion, was unanimously approved.
