Kanchanpur, June 9:<\/strong> The Khayarkandra community homestays in Shuklaphanta Municipality-3 have improved their service delivery by installing solar backup systems, thereby supporting eco-friendly tourism and rural income generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The initiative has been implemented in eight homestays with support from Shuklaphanta Municipality, the Connect Project and Himali Prakriti. The solar system ensures uninterrupted electricity supply, improving facilities for both operators and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the technical supervisor at Himali Prakriti, Puran Singh Dhagunna, the system will help promote the use of renewable energy while enhancing homestay operations and boosting local income. He said it also strengthens rural eco-tourism efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Homestay operators said the system has helped resolve frequent power outages, ensuring reliable electricity for lighting, mobile charging, fans and other basic needs.
