{"id":430904,"date":"2026-06-06T21:36:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T15:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=430904"},"modified":"2026-06-06T21:36:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T15:51:15","slug":"rsp-electing-new-leadership-in-38-districts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2026\/06\/06\/430904.html","title":{"rendered":"RSP electing new leadership in 38 districts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu:<\/strong> The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has advanced the process of electing new leadership in 38 districts, with district conventions held on Saturday, while others are slated for tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/rsp-1024x478.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-414025\" srcset=\"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/rsp-1024x478.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/rsp-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/rsp-768x358.jpg 768w, https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/rsp.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the RSP&#8217;s central election commission, conventions were held in districts including Jhapa, Morang, Tehrathum, Taplejung, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Mahottari, Rautahat, Dolakha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Dhading, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok and Sindhuli on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, district conventions also took place in Syangja, Kaski, Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, Gulmi, Nawalparasi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Rolpa, Kalikot, Salyan, Baitadi, Bajhang and Darchula districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The party mentioned that all technical and administrative preparations have been completed for what it describes as a major campaign to transform the organisation into a fully legitimate and democratically mandated entity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RSP aims to hold conventions in 67 of 77 districts of the country before its first national general convention slated to take place on June 21-23 in Chitwan district. Likewise, district conventions are scheduled for 27 districts on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Udayapur, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Ilam, Siraha, Dhanusha, Parsa, Sarlahi, Chitwan, Lalitpur, Tanahun, Nawalpur, Gorkha, Lamjung, Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi, Pyuthan, Surkhet, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum, Mugu, Jumla, Achham, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur, and Bajura are scheduled to organise their district convention. Due to special organisational circumstances, the convention in Bara district will be held on June 9, the party said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commission&#8217;s Chief Bhuwan KC shared that seven provincial election committees, each consisting of five members, have been formed to oversee provincial conventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Likewise, a three-member election committee was formed in each district to ensure a fair and transparent voting process.
