Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Food Safety Nisha Mehta and the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, held a meeting in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ministry’s Assistant Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the meeting between Minister Mehta and the WHO Director-General was held during the 79th World Health Assembly, organised by the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the meeting, Minister Mehta said that the meeting with the WHO Director General was highly productive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, WHO Director General Dr Tedros said that the WHO was already ready to cooperate with Nepal and extend support, Ministry’s Assistant Spokesperson Dr Adhikari quoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to this, Minister Mehta held separate meetings with China\u2019s National Health Commission Minister Lei Haichao and Indian Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda in Geneva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Mehta is leading a three-member delegation to the 79th World Health Assembly of the World Health Organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
