It followed a recent decision by the United Nations General Assembly to observe April 15 each year as International Wellness Day, based on Nepal\u2019s initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richmond Mayor Eduardo Martinez attended as chief guest, while Nepali-origin council member Dilli Bhattarai was the special guest. The event saw participation from over 100 attendees, including community leaders, professionals and members of the Nepali diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme featured speeches, expert presentations and sessions on yoga, meditation and breathing practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, Consul General Laxmi Khanal said Nepal has long been a center for yoga and natural healing traditions.
