Kathmandu, April 8:<\/strong> The task force formed to prepare a discussion paper on constitutional amendment has ruled out any changes that contradict the nation\u2019s sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, and the sovereign power of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first meeting of the task force was held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The meeting was chaired by Asim Sah, political advisor to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and coordinator of the task force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking at the meeting, Coordinator Sah expressed gratitude to the Government of Nepal for entrusting the team with the responsibility of drafting a discussion paper on constitutional amendment. He said the task force will work to broadly identify and advance key issues related to potential amendments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sah emphasised that any amendment process will be guided by national consensus, inclusive participation, and factual analysis.
