January 30, Kathmandu: <\/strong>The Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu on Wednesday hosted an art exhibition and artist talk titled \u201cColours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist,\u201d featuring works by renowned Nepali artist Bidhata KC, inspired by her artistic journey across Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held at the Embassy premises, the exhibition brought together art lovers, cultural practitioners, civil society representatives, media professionals, social media influencers, and members of the diplomatic community, reflecting growing interest in cultural exchange and people-to-people ties between Nepal and Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The showcased artworks drew from KC\u2019s participation in the Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries in Pakistan. Speaking during the event, the artist shared her experiences of travelling across different regions of Pakistan, describing how the country\u2019s landscapes, heritage, and social fabric shaped her creative expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through vivid colours and layered compositions, her works portrayed Pakistan\u2019s cultural diversity and artistic richness. KC expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu for facilitating her participation in the residency program, and warmly acknowledged the hospitality and cultural openness she experienced during her stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar Hashmi, praised the artist\u2019s work, noting that it offered a unique and thoughtful interpretation of Pakistan through a Nepali perspective. He emphasized that cultural diplomacy is a key pillar of Pakistan\u2013Nepal relations, and reaffirmed the Embassy\u2019s commitment to strengthening mutual understanding through art, culture, and shared heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants appreciated the Embassy\u2019s initiative and commended the artistic depth and narrative strength of the exhibited works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion, the Embassy also announced that the Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from 5 to 7 February 2026, providing another platform for cultural engagement and public interaction through Pakistani cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
