Kathmandu, Dec 27:<\/strong> Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Ranamagar has highlighted that Nepal has consistently valued its relations with China as a friendly neighbor, strategic partner, and fellow developing nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking at the closing ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of China-Nepal diplomatic relations, Ranamagar noted that cooperation between the two countries spans trade, investment, infrastructure, connectivity, culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. She also appreciated China\u2019s assistance in Nepal\u2019s development initiatives and emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral ties at the community level alongside formal diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSeventy years of diplomatic relations is not only a moment to reflect with pride but also an opportunity to look ahead with hope,\u201d she said, expressing satisfaction over the smooth and stable relations between the two nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zhou Pan, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, said that enhancing mutual understanding through cultural and civilizational exchanges will promote shared learning, prosperity, and the advancement of human civilization. He added that high-level exchanges have maintained strong momentum, consolidating political trust and supporting each other\u2019s core interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zhou also highlighted that China\u2019s 15th Five-Year Plan aligns closely with Nepal\u2019s national development strategy, offering opportunities for sustainable growth. He expressed China\u2019s readiness to deepen collaboration in governance, economy, trade, connectivity, agriculture, poverty alleviation, and youth development. \u201cPractical cooperation in economy and trade has yielded fruitful results, while people-to-people and cultural exchanges continue to strengthen. Livelihood projects and youth programs further deepen mutual affection,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The anniversary celebrations featured Chinese cultural performances, exhibitions, and other activities.
