The UDHR outlines the basic rights and freedoms that every person is entitled to, without discrimination based on race, colour, religion, gender, language, political opinion, national or social background, property, birth or any other status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme for this year\u2019s Human Rights Day is \u201cHuman Rights, Our Everyday Essentials.\u201d According to the United Nations, the UDHR is the world\u2019s most widely translated document and is available in 577 languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the occasion, President Ramchandra Paudel, Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki and other leaders issued messages.
