A delegation led by council president Taranath Pahari submitted a memorandum in Kathmandu, highlighting the industry\u2019s struggles due to recent unrest. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-1adg3ll r-1x3r274 r-p1pxzi\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-1x3r274\">The council condemned vandalism and looting during protests, which have led to widespread booking cancellations, severely impacting Pokhara\u2019s tourism industry, a key economic driver with over Rs 700 billion in investments. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-1adg3ll r-1x3r274 r-p1pxzi\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-1x3r274\">The entrepreneurs said that with the peak season nearing, political uncertainty and upcoming elections threaten further declines in tourist arrivals.
