July 14, Kathmandu:<\/strong> The Inner Wheel Club Kirtipur Central celebrated its 7th anniversary on Saturday with an event in Kathmandu, spotlighting its commitment to women\u2019s empowerment and community service. The program highlighted the club\u2019s ongoing mission, initiated by founder Margarette Oliver Golding, who established the Inner Wheel Club on January 10, 1924, in Manchester, England, to foster friendship and service among women.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The anniversary featured a leadership transition, with Kalpana Adhikari taking over as president. Adhikari announced ambitious plans to advance women\u2019s rights in the Kirtipur region, building on the club\u2019s legacy of impactful initiatives.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Outgoing president Numa Pandey was commended for her work in raising awareness and driving community projects<\/span><\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ranjana Shakya Maharjan, a dedicated executive member from Kathmandu, was also honoured for her contributions to the club\u2019s mission.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Likewise, District Chairperson Kamala Shrestha and National Representative IW Sarsij Palikhe were also honoured for their contributions.<\/p>\n Founded by Margarette Oliver Golding, a nurse and philanthropist, the Inner Wheel Club has grown into a global network of over 100,000 members across 100 countries, promoting friendship, service, and international understanding.
