June 2, Kathmandu:<\/strong> The Government of Nepal has established a dialogue committee to negotiate with transport operators protesting against the ride-sharing regulations introduced by the Gandaki Province government.<\/p>\n

The decision follows a nationwide public transport shutdown initiated by eight transport-related organisations.<\/p>\n

A meeting held on Monday at the Home Ministry, attended by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and other stakeholders, resulted in the formation of the committee, led by a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.<\/p>\n

According to Home Ministry spokesperson Ramchandra Tiwari, the committee comprises eight government representatives from various ministries and four members from the transport operators and workers\u2019 groups.
