Bagmati: At least 16 persons were injured when a passenger-ferrying bus met with an accident in Manahari rural municipality-6, Sunachuri of Makawanpur, along the East-West Highway this morning.<\/p>\n
According to the District Police Office, 16 passengers were injured when the bus (Lu 2 Kha 599) en route to Bhairahawa from Itahari fell some 10 meters down the road.<\/p>\n
The injured were rescued and sent to Chitwan Hospital for treatment, office spokesperson Shyamu Aryal said.<\/p>\n
Bus driver Rakesh Chaudhary, 29, of Kolbi Municipality-11, Bara, has been arrested for investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a vehicle registered in the Indian province caught fire at Bhimphedi rural municipality-4, Nibuwatar in Makawanpur along the Kulekhani-Bhimphedi-Kathmandu road section.<\/p>\n
He informed that the running car en route to Hetauda from Kathmandu caught fire. Though the car was completely gutted in fire, there was no human casualty, it is informed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
