Kathmandu:<\/strong> St. Xavier\u2019s College, Maitighar, Kathmandu has successfully hosted its much-anticipated SET Exhibition, a grand science exhibition that brought together the creativity and academic knowledge of students to address issues on social upliftment, environmental conservation, and technological innovation.<\/p>\n

The event featured participants in two main categories: Inter and Intra. The intra-category included three sectors; Social Service, Environment and Technology while the Inter category welcomed participants from both inter-school and inter-college levels.<\/p>\n

With representation from institutions within and beyond the valley. Each category had three winners, all of whom received certificates, medals and cash prizes.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a Public Choice Award was presented to a project that garnered the highest appreciation from the
\nattendees.<\/p>\n

The highlights of the event were a water rocket, robotic arm, AI-powered vehicle models and landslide alarm made by the participants. By integrating theoretical concepts with practical applications, students demonstrated solutions to real-world problems, offering a thought-provoking experience.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the significance of the event, Chief Guest Dr. Rajendra Prasad Bhandari, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology stated, ‘The students are the building blocks of the nation, and this exhibition gives them a platform to showcase their innovations that can inspire the older generation.’<\/p>\n

The event was successful in bringing together participants from different schools and colleges with their new technologies and innovative ideas.<\/p>\n

‘The transformation students bring each year is very unique. There is a touch of creativity, innovation and a new angle every year,’ said Fr. Dr. Augustine Thomas, S.J.; the principal of St. Xavier\u2019s College, Maitighar.<\/p>\n

The exhibition inspired innovation and social responsibility among young minds, encouraging them to apply their knowledge to create a better future. The event also served as a reminder of the role that educational institutions play in shaping a more informed and proactive society.<\/p>\n

Organized by the student-led club of St. Xavier\u2019s, The Social Service, Environment and Technology (SET) Council,
\nthis exhibition is recognized as an event that provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects.<\/p>\n
