Anil Sah, a farmer of Jaleshwar-4, echoed Mahara and said the cold wave has impacted the normal life of the people.<\/p>\n<p>There are fewer people and activities in the urban areas, including the district headquarters of Jaleshwar, and the rural areas in Mahottari district.<\/p>\n<p>Sale of tea and warm clothes has increased in various markets in the district due to the cold, said Suresh Sah, who operates a tea shop at Jaleshwar-2.<\/p>\n<p>The number of patients suffering from coughs colds and respiratory ailments has also increased at the health posts and the District Hospital, according to doctors.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rabindra Saha stated that children, elderly individuals, and new mothers are the most affected by the increasing cold temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Local governments in the district have organized fires at various locations to provide warmth for the underprivileged and needy populations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 31, Kathmandu: Life has been affected in the Madhesh region with the onset of a cold wave.
