Kathmandu: Former Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) PL Singh has passed away. He was 87.
\nAccording to the family sources, Singh breathed his last today while undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n
Nepali Congress leader Singh had been under treatment for stomach-related disease.<\/p>\n
His body will be kept at his residence, Chakisibari, Kathmandu up to 11.00 am today and then at the Nepali Congress central office, Sanepa, for two hours, it is informed.<\/p>\n
His last rites will be performed today itself.<\/p>\n
In the meantime, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has declared a mourning holiday today on the demise of former Mayor PL Singh.<\/p>\n
He passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at the age of 87.<\/p>\n
KMC’s assistant spokesperson Dhruba Kumar Kafle said that the KMC has decided to close all non-essential services of the central office and all the ward offices to mourn the passing away of former mayor Singh.<\/p>\n
