{"id":395928,"date":"2024-11-27T10:45:57","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T05:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/?p=395928"},"modified":"2024-11-27T10:45:57","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T05:00:57","slug":"chitwan-elephant-and-tourism-festival-from-december-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2024\/11\/27\/395928.html","title":{"rendered":"Chitwan Elephant and Tourism Festival from December 26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, Nov 27: The 18th Chitwan Elephant and Tourism Festival is to be held this year from December 26 to 30.<\/p>\n<p>Organized every year by the Regional Hotel Association Chitwan United Hatti Operation Cooperatives Society Ltd and the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal the festival will be held in Sauraha.<\/p>\n<p>President of Chitwan Regional Hotel Association, Ganga Giri, said that the festival this year will be different and grander than the past.<\/p>\n<p>The arrival of tourists increases by 25 to 30 per cent every year due to the festival, he claimed.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 80 elephants both private and government-owned will participate in various activities under the festival. The festival is expected to cost around Rs 13.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Director of Nepal Tourism Board, Hikmatsingh Ayer emphasized that the elephant festival is important for tourism promotion andthat\u00a0 the NTB and other stakeholders should work together to market it.<\/p>\n<p>The festival has been held annually since 2055 BS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RSS<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, Nov 27: The 18th Chitwan Elephant and Tourism Festival is to be held this year from December 26 to 30.
