November 5, Kathmandu:<\/strong> CPN (Maoist Center) has selected Dr Shiva Sharan Maharjan as its mayoral candidate for the upcoming by-elections in Kirtipur Municipality.<\/p>\n

Dr Maharjan, a prominent figure in the social and educational sectors, is a former Head of the Central Department of Education at Tribhuvan University, a former member of the University Grants Commission, and has held leadership positions in various educational institutions including Kirtipur Transport Service Company, Kirtipur \u00a0Drinking Water Management, and several schools and colleges.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the party has nominated Astaman Maharjan as the ward chair candidate for Ward 1 and Narayan Bista for Ward 4.<\/p>\n
