{"id":379502,"date":"2024-05-29T07:04:28","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T01:19:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlineradionepal.gov.np\/en\/?p=379502"},"modified":"2024-05-29T07:04:32","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T01:19:32","slug":"fy-2024-25-budget-green-tax-on-petrol-and-diesel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radionepalonline.com\/en\/2024\/05\/29\/379502.html","title":{"rendered":"FY 2024\/25 Budget: Green tax on petrol and diesel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kathmandu: The government has imposed a green tax on petroleum products, coal and other related goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Economic Bill-2081 presented in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Tuesday by Finance Minister Barshaman Pun states that a green tax will be levied at the rate of Rs.1 per litre on petrol and diesel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tax has been proposed to reduce the use of fossil fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, a green tax equal to 0.5 per cent will be levied on furnace oil, base oil and one per cent on lubricant oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals, 70 per cent or more of petroleum oil will also be taxed by one per cent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu: The government has imposed a green tax on petroleum products, coal and other related goods.
