One held with looted ‘gas gun’
Kathmandu: Police have made public a person held with a ‘gas gun’ looted during the September 8-9 Gen Z protest.
Manoj Dhungana, 29, originally from Durgauli of Janaki rural municipality in Kailali and currently staying at Sahayoginagar of Kathmandu Metropolis-32, was the person arrested and made public by the police.
Spokesperson at Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, SP Kaji Kumar Acharya, informed that Dhungana was arrested based on a tip off.
The police recovered a gas gun named ‘anti-riot gun 38mm’ from his room.
The weapon carrying the number 11006081 was made in Korea. It was found hidden in Dhungana’s room.
Also seized from him were a ‘leg guard’ used in riot control and a mobile phone set, Acharya added.
The Office informed it sent Dhungana to the District Police Range, Bhadrakali for further investigation and action.
