Jeep accident in Ramechhap kills 5 people

Kathmandu: Five people were killed in a jeep accident that occurred in Ramechhap district injuring 3 others.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Singh, the jeep, heading towards  Betali of Ramechhap from Kathmandu, met with the accident at Gokul Ganga rural municipality-6 of Ramechhap.

45-year-old Ram Chandra Basnet, the Ward Chairperson of Gokulganga-4, is among the dead in the accident. 35-year-old Jeep driver Hira Bahadur Karki, 30-year-old Kabita Karki and her 7-year-old daughter Swastika Khadka also died in the accident.

Police said the identity of a deceased is yet to be confirmed.
