President Paudel receives letters of credence from new Israeli Ambassador Bass

November 22, Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel on Friday received the Letters of Credence from Shumlik Arie Bass crediting him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Nepal.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and other high-level officials of the Government of Nepal were also present at the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas.

Nepal and Israel established diplomatic relations in 1960 during the tenure of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, Nepal’s first democratically elected Prime Minister, and David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel.
