Early warning about floods and landslides in Sindhupalchowk
Kathmandu: The District Administration Office, Sindhupalchowk, has requested the locals to adopt high precautions, saying floods in the Indrawati River might take place following a dry landslide.
Issuing a press release today, the Office made the locals aware citing that the Indrawati River might be blocked due to a dry landslide, leading to floods as a result. A dry landslide occurred at Tipeni of Panchpokhari Thangpal rural municipality on Monday.
“Locals of Panchpokhari rural municipality 7 and 8, Melamchi municipality-7, 9, 11, 12 and 13, and Indrawati rural municipality-10, 11 and 12 as well as people living in the vicinity of rivers have been requested to remain alert”, reads the statement.
The office also requested the locals to contact security bodies, Melamchi municipality, and Indrawati rural municipality as well as call phone numbers—9851243084, and 011620470 for any assistance and information.
