CPN(Maoist Centre) selects candidates for upcoming by-elections

November 11, Kathmandu: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has approved the names of candidates for the upcoming by-elections to be held on December 1.

In a meeting of officer bearers held on Monday, the party confirmed the candidates recommended by provincial and district committees for the local-level by-elections.

Vice Chairperson and spokesperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Agni Prasad Sapkota informed the media that the meeting also focused on planning strategies to ensure victory in the elections.

Spokesperson Sapkota urged all party leaders and cadres to work together for victory in the elections.

Additionally, the party decided to conduct “awareness programs” by mobilizing the masses till the second week of  December.

The Maoist Centre also shared that its central committee will meet on December 17 to review election results and discuss further programs.
